Energy Transition Model (ETM) for Efate, Vanuatu

The Energy Transition Model (ETM) is an open-source, interactive tool that has been customised for the modelling of energy transition for Efate, Vanuatu. It is under development and a prototype will be available soon but if you want a demo then please reach out to Edoardo Santagata.

The ETM allows you to build and explore scenarios for the entire energy system of your country, region or city. Years of data collection and updating make sure your scenarios generate fact-based conclusions creating important insights into the future of your energy system. In this way the ETM supports a successful energy transition!

The development of Planning Frameworks and Energy Transition Modelling Tools for the Pacific Islands Countries and Territories (PICTs) is being led by University of New South Wales (UNSW) in partnership with Pacific Power Association (PPA), the Pacific Community (SPC), and the University of South Pacific (USP), with funding support from the Australian Government’s Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
